Windows Mobile 7?

Have you heard of windows 7 phones? They are not out for sale yet but they look really cool. The old windows mobile professional OS is no match for the google android OS or apple phone OS. I think that's why microsoft is trying to catch up in the smartphone industry by introducing their new windows 7 phone.

If you haven't seen windows mobile 7 yet, watch this video to give you a quick idea:

Personally, I think the coolest feature which other mobile OS don't have is the xbox live support. This is really important if you play xbox games because you will be able to play your games wherever you go. Best of all, it supports multi players...

I have both the latest touch screen cell phones and they are android phone and the old windows phone. I think android phone is more flexible and robust... although the internal memory is small. I guess as long as developers program their app to read database or data files from the microSD card, this shouldn't be a problem at all.

How much will a windows mobile 7 phone cost? Nobody knows for sure but you can bet that motorola, HTC or other major cell phone manufacturers are designing their brand new phone to support this OS which will be available later this year. I can't wait to get my hand on one of them :)

How Good Are You At Handling Time?

It has come to my attention that two people, when given the same amount of time (24 hours) to spend for a month, will produce totally different result. What do I mean by this? We are all given 24 hours right? How come our success or level of happiness is so different when we have the same resources?

I know that the majority of people spend their free time watching television or youtube. Although I watch them occasionally too, I find that being addicted to the "idiot box" is not a very fulfilling way to spend that free time. A lot of us keep complaining that life sucks and things should be better and yada yada yada but seriously, if you take a moment and reflect about it, why are some people richer or more successful while others remain in the same place and keep grumbling about it.

Ok, let's just take language learning for example. Some people can learn so many languages and remember most of what they learned while others keep wishing that they hope they will get better. If you analyze how successful people spend their time, you will notice that they make sustained efforts to improve what they are trying to be better at. There are hardly any secret to it at all. Just hard work and persistence and of course, finding out what works and stick to it.

Personally I think television is good if you're using it to learn or discover something. Watching soap operas is like watching how others live their lives. Nothing wrong about it but I think it's much better to spend more time living one's own life...

Is Chicken Healthy Or Bad For You?

I always wonder if chicken meat is good for health. I know it's white meat and generally speaking, white meat is better than red meat because the former has lower level of cholesterol and fat.

Problem is, I heard that a lot of the chicken in the market which are commercially bred contain chemicals because of all these injections those poor chicken have to get in order to grow "fatter". Works for those chicken farming companies because heavier chicken means more profits for them... at the expense of consumer like us of course :(

After watching this video, I have to say I disagree with him. Why?

If you've heard of free range organic chicken, you will know that chicken meat is probably one of the healthiest meat you can use for daily cooking. Sure, they are expensive but you have to consider which one is more important to you... your health or spending that extra few dollars...

As for losing weight, I think chicken is the best and healthiest alternative to red meat such as beef and pork. I also find that no matter how much healthy food you stuff into your stomach, you still need to work out and exercise regularly if you want to be fit and in shape.

All these chicken meat talk is making me hungry. You know what? I just read about this wonderful post about how easy it is to make orange chicken at home. I think I'm going to give it a try. Oh, by the way, I'm using organic free range chicken meat which taste so much better than commercial chicken meat.

Bon appetit to me :)

Cook Your Food While You're Sleeping?

We all know that cooking good food usually takes a lot of time and that means we need to stay in the kitchen and watch our food cook and do all the necessary steps to ensure that the food will not overcook.

Although cooking is fun and all, I still prefer not to spend too much time in the kitchen. I mean there's so many things to explore and learn, right? Anyway, I did a little research on crock pot cooking and found that it is possible to just throw all your ingredients into this magic pot and let it cook for 8 - 12 hours. When you come home from work, you will have this delicious pot of nutritious food waiting for you!

At first I thought this is impossible because what if the crock pot screw up or overcook the food? Surely someone must look after it, just to make sure... So I did an experiment and decided to cook some of my favourite crock pot meals and see how they will turn out...

Result? Fairly delicious, considering how little time I have to spend in the kitchen. Of course you need to prepare to ingredients first but even so, frozen ingredients will melt as they are cooked in the slow cooker! I suggest that you try cooking in this magic pot called slow cooker or crock pot if you're someone who is busy busy busy :P

Using Brain To Control Your Computer

I always wonder if it's possible to use thoughts to control your computer or do simple tasks such as typing. Obviously, it does exist...

It would be so cool if we can type our documents at the speed of thoughts or write a blog such as this just by thinking :p

You can read more about the company that is developing this technology at:

They even try to send a message to twitter using this gadget. Very slow....

Personally, I think it is still too slow for computer to efficiently track our thoughts and interpret them correctly...
